The slot parlors of Alabama have won one.

A Jefferson County judge ruled state attorney general Troy King, who has spoken out against recent casino raids, has legal authority over the governor’s anti-gambling task force.

Circuit Judge Robert Vance said courts must be advised by March 22 whether the AG supports the task force’s closing of a Lowndes County bingo operation and seizure of bingo machines.

The ruling comes a day after Alabama’s biggest slot parlor, Victoryland, reopened.
