Mississippi is approaching sports betting the right way, making it only available at tribal, Gulf Coast and Mississippi River casinos. This could be a big new casino attraction, if the sports books are properly laid out, with multiple big screen TV's, beverage and food availability, and booths where small groups can watch their favorite game, with sound.

Even if you make nothing on the sports book, you will certainly profit from beverage and room sales and possibly from the casino games and slots, and maybe even from the food department too

And if tribal casinos aren't part of the solution, by adding sports betting, then expect it to be available from some other source, which will take customers away from your casino.

Better to be part of the solution, where substantial demand already exists, than to sit back and let your state introduce other options that could harm your business.
