The only type of casino gaming that Pennsylvania has not introduced is video gaming terminals at any business that can qualify for a liquor license such as Illinois, that has over 26,000 machines at more than 6,000 locations. And considering how much Pennsylvania depends on the gaming industry for tax revenue, I wouldn't be surprised to see slots at more non-gaming locations than just airports and truck stops.
The state has gone from a limited number of slot casinos in 2006, expanding it to add table games than creating mini casinos, online gaming, sports betting and slot machines at specific locations.
Why pick on the Cordish Company and their Live Casino project? It's better to place the blame where it belongs, on the Pennsylvania government and the need for more tax revenue and picking on the industry that can sustain a higher percentage tax, than other businesses.
