• Should Matt Maddox remain CEO of Wynn Resorts? The Boston Globe is calling for his resignation after the Massachusetts Gaming Commission grilled the new CEO on his leadership and questioned his decision-making capabilities.

Maddox told commissioners that he’s the exact right person to make WYNN a great company, and implored them to consider the positive steps the company has taken since he became CEO last year.

• Is Nevada still investigating? A Nevada Gaming Control Board member attended the Massachusetts hearings. Nevada will not disclose whether further investigation is underway, Karen Wells, director of the Massachusetts Gaming Commission’s Investigations and Enforcement Bureau, told commissioners.

Nevada regulators fined WYNN $20 million last month over the scandal.

• Will WYNN lose its Massachusetts gaming license for the $2.6 billion Encore Boston Harbor, or face fines?

A Boston Globe reader poll found 61 percent of respondents think WYNN should keep the license and pay a fine. Thirty-one percent say it shouldn’t.

The project is 93 percent complete and scheduled to open June 23, Encore Boston Harbor President Robert DeSalvio told commissioners.

• Elaine Wynn, ex-wife of Steve Wynn, told commissioners that once her shares were free to sell, she chose to stay because she is team Wynn.
