My comment:

If this is a serious consideration by the Missouri Legislature; they should look at how slot machines have impacted the Illinois riverboats, in spite of a larger population the MO, and fewer riverboat casinos. A possible suggestion, that would do less damage to the existing casinos, would be to let the riverboat companies provide and operate the machines allowed in the communities around them. They would then share the net after tax revenues with the owner of the qualifying facility.
