Connecticut governor questions tribes' third casino plans - CalvinAyre.com

My comment:

This is an excellent article, questioning the States ability to let the Tribes open a casino on land that is not part of their reservations, or has not been placed "In Trust" by the Federal Government. But it doesn't mention that much better sites are available on the Western border with NY State; that would tax residents of another state, while eleminating the 4th casino serving the Greater Hartford area, possibly harming the Mohegan and Foxwood casinos as much as MGM Springfield.

This has been an effort of spite, fighting the state that has been providing an estimated $ billion a year to the two Tribal casinos; a situation that has been going on for 20 years.
