With no new casinos in operation in the North East this year, it is not surprising to see Atlantic City's casino win growing, and Online Gaming in New Jersey, increase even more.

Today's article from the Huffington Post is misleading. Online Gaming revenue in New Jersey, was only $80 million thru the first 4 months of 2017; not the $763 mentioned. That was the amount bet, before player winnings were deducted.

Casino plan will be opposed by many
Obviously, no one wants to see new competition, but Branson, is already a tourist city, with many show theaters; and would be a long distance from any of Missouri's 13 existing riverboat casinos. Gaming would also add to Branson's entertainment, and probably extend average stays, at the many resort hotels and guest accommodations.

Sheldon Adelson is right to fight this bill, and the State should be concerned that, at the 34 percent tax proposed by the Innovations report, the total tax income from casinos and VGT's, could actually be less than the casinos themselves. Which is in fact the result in Illinois.
